@cannoch Hi Cannoch i was put into a convalesant home i was told at the time i needed to be built up as i was very thin, I was only ten years old so i new no different.I asked my mother over the years why i was put into the home but never got any answers X

@vintagerosenz Good for you my friend, truth be known I think a lot of young ppl actually love this older stuff, its REAL music, so relaxing, as for being outcast, I for one am proud of young ppl such as you for sticking to your guns and liking old music. I come from a time when music was music (i'm 52) late 60's oh what times they were even though I was just a kid. take care and maybe chat again

my grandad was in the royal navy and took part in the normandy landings,sadly he passed away 18 months ago and this song was played at his funeral,which was attended by the royal naval association. i love this song x

Thank you for posting this video i was 10 years of age when i was put into a convalescent home, the nurse used to put us to bed cover the lamp with a towel and play sailor over and over again i used to lay crying as i wanted to go home, i new every word by heart.
