I wanna get the elf mineral foundation but I can't decide which shade to go with. Light with golden undertones or warm. I went to sephora and the lady put on on a warm beige foundation (it's D30 in Sephora's brand). It matches my skin tone well but I don't like that it looked so cakey on my skin. He also has a very precise way of expressing himself which is different to some who swallow their words.. Can you keep us posted on how it did for blemishes since it claimed to help reduce them? I have oily, acne prone skin and I am currently in search of a new foundation because mine is poopy. (It's Covergirl's Clean foundation) and I find it doesn't cover what I want like blemishes or old acne marks and if I try to layer it it just looks like I'm wearing a pound of the stuff. :S

you should get a face primer (BM makes an AMAZING ONE called prime time) you would love it more than the mac stuff u r using on ur brush!! you put it on ur skin after lotion. it will give u PERFECT coverage!! it makes the BM look more of an even cream sortta look insead of uneven or too powdery

If you have a bareminerals section in your ulta store you will find it there. I have to fight hard to win mine on ebay. They are not all the same. The vitamins moisturizes and the prime time smooths it out. I tested it with smashbox and it was not the same. If you don't want to try it of course that is up to you some of your viewers might like to try it though and I think that your honest review of it would help them.

If it's the only new thing you've used and you've used clean brushes and hands to apply, then it sounds like you might not suit the foundation regardless of the SPF it might be some other ingredients. Which is a shame because it's an expensive one! I hope stopping using it has helped.

I ask because I bought Bobbi Brown foundation with SPF 15, I have used it for 3 days and now I have loads of spots. Unfortunately there aren't many products available in high street stores that are cruelty free. The Body Shop, Urban Decay, Cargo, Sleek - all are cruelty free and have some great products. Always get samples and try them out at home before buying or being persuaded to buy by a Sales Assistant!

Sounds like you have dry skin, like me, and you need to use a richer moisturiser underneath your foundation. Stay with a liquid foundation or alternatively mix your moisturiser with a mineral foundation. Add a bit of luminance cream (like MAC strobe) or dust over a light bronzer to set your foundation.

I actually have been using a MAC187 type of brush using a "stippling" method for my foundation lately, then I give it a good buffing with a deluxe buffer brush from coastalscents. It is a fat brush with a nice dense, soft flat bristle and works well. I guess it depends on the foundation too on how well it applies. There are so many ways to do it and what works best for each person. Sometimes it can make my head spin. =D

Something called harmonics, if you're a guitar player you'll know, if not....it's basically a way of making a note resonate longer. If you do it with high volume and lots of distortion, you can make the guitar sound almost completely different than playing normal chords clean. Lots of bands use harmonics to an extent but I've never heard them used in the way BB does, except some of the more experimental Sonic Youth stuff.
