Perfumes - Useful Tips
Everywhere a person turns there is some sort of fragrance wafting through the air. It may be the natural scent of roses in the summer sun. It could be that same smell bottled into perfumes. Candles, body lotion, bath salts…you name it and, no doubt, there is a company out there making a lot of money selling these sweet smelling products. But how do you know what scents are right for you and which ones will cause you to get a stuffy nose and a massive headache? You do not want to wind up buying an expensive bottle of perfume that you cannot wear.
The first thing you need to examine is the type of scents you like. Forget about the scents that other people suggest you wear. Find scents that make you feel good. In today’s market, there are great beauty fragrances that can be made by combining different natural scents into your own personal fragrance. Many people find that certain scents elevate their frame of mind. Take for example lavender as a mood relaxing scent. Combine lavender and vanilla and you will have a fragrance that relaxes you and helps you to unwind after a long, stressful day at work.
There are two ways to go about buying perfumes for someone else. The first is to pay attention to that particular person’s style and their daily fragrance. Someone who wears simplistic, flowery notes is not going to want anything cloying or overpowering. The second is to buy that person a gift card. That way they can purchase their favorite brand and you do not have to worry about making the wrong choice. Everyone winds up happy.
Just remember that perfumes should not overpower everyone in the room. This is especially true if you share closed quarters with other fellow workers. The best tip is to lightly spray your pulse points and your body before dressing. As your body warms the perfume, the scent will be released and you will smell fantastic all day long.
